I’ve always enjoyed gardening – as a little girl I used to love to potter about on my dad’s allotment but, to be honest, I’m not always that great at keeping things alive which is why succulents and cacti are perfect for me. We always had a house full of them when I was growing up which is possibly where my love of them comes from but, right now, these are the reasons they’re hot favourites with me.

I quite fancy myself as a modern day Barbara from the Good Life so this is where you’ll find my gardening tales (some hits but quite a few misses).
Like many people in Spain we live in an apartment so our outside space is limited to a balcony which means that, while I don’t have room for any chickens at the moment, I do have a little herb garden, an ever expanding collection of cacti and succulents, and plans to at least attempt to grow some of my own veg.
With no garden of my own to speak of I volunteer at the Alameda Botanical Gardens in Gibraltar.
